I created this website a few weeks ago but being a mom, full-time professional, wife, etc. -- life would not cooperate with me to let me find time to finish it! However, trying on a pair of my khakis today before I went to work and thinking -- "Jeez, I am getting a muffin top!" -- pivoted me back to this website and my 2011 goal of creating a running group for fellow moms. Hooray!
The first thing I want to express is WELCOME fellow HM runners! I hope that this website/blog will help you in your running goals as I hope it helps mine. A little background on me: I have been running races and actively running for 7 years or so, but don't let that fool you -- I am not a super start runner, just a lady who enjoys running when I can find the time. I have an awesome husband and one year old son, and professionally I work as a website/online marketing guru (sort of) in the corporate world.
My running goals for this year: 1. Run a marathon, 2. Start a running group for fellow moms who need the support (like I do!), 3. Run a few other Denver/Colorado races (maybe like 4 or 5)
With those declarations out of the way - let's get to the basics. I received quite a few emails from other moms who were interested in joining this group. I started an email list with those names and will be sending you all an update about this website/blog shortly. I will be providing a calendar with specific times/date/locations for you to "sign-up" for a run. Right now I am working on the calendar, for both runs and races. Please email your race suggestions!
